Submission Rules
Submission Rules
- This archive is moderated for functionality and quality control. Unlike archives such as ff.net or aff.net where you register and can basically post anything you like, in any format you like (unless someone complains), this archive has a narrow purpose and limited resources. As such, please be advised that not every story will be accepted for archiving; and the header information, category designations, summaries and notes to stories are subject to administrative edit at any time to conform them to the current database schema, with or without notice. You always have the option of removing your story from the archive if you don't like the standardization imposed upon your work.
- Please restrict your story and chapter notes to sentences required to provide context for your story. Please do not waste space with attributions that mean nothing outside of your Livejournal friends community, for instance. If a stranger, viewing your story in the archive would have no clue what you're talking about, please refrain from including the information. This includes information about contests or challenges your story might have been part of, or awards your story might have won, or personal anecdotes, or beta credit. Your personal website or personal journal is a more appropriate place for that type of discourse with your audience. The primary concern of this archive is optimization, and keeping the database tables streamlined so the processes don't bog down or become corrupted. In the same vein, please restrict yourself to one image to accompany your story or series.
- Stories must be submitted to the proper category. If there is an appropriate sub-category, DO NOT add your story to the main category. The submission form allows you to choose multiple categories for your story, and we worked very hard to add that functionality for you. So please do NOT add your story multiple times!
- "Please read", "Untitled", etc. are not acceptable titles or summaries.
- Actor/actress stories (RPS) are not permitted...not even if they're visiting an alternate reality.
- All submissions must be beta read and/or conform to normal editorial standards for anything published. At the very least, correct grammar and spelling are expected of all stories submitted to this site. The site administrators are not grammar Nazis. However, the site administrators reserve the right to request corrections in submissions with a multitude of grammar and/or spelling errors. If such a request is ignored, the story will be deleted.
- All stories must be rated correctly and have the appropriate warnings. All adult rated stories are expected to have warnings. After all, they wouldn't have that rating if there wasn't something to be warned about! The site administrators recognize that there is an audience for these stories, but please respect those who do not wish to read them by labeling them appropriately. Please note: Stories containing adults having sex with minors are strictly forbidden.
- Stories with multiple chapters should be archived as such and NEVER as separate stories. Upload the first chapter of your story, then go to Manage Stories in your account to add additional chapters. If you have trouble with this, please contact the site administrator or ask a friend to help you.
Submissions found to be in violation of these rules may be removed and the author's account suspended at the discretion of the site administrators and/or moderators. The site administrators reserve the right to modify these rules as needed.
